i have been around for a fair amount of time. i finally got around to gettin on the new stickerminion board. i would agree that the sticker movement got a bunch of hype like 6 months ago. and nothing has been poppin as of lately but i think after this years peel here and maybe if the same artists werent always the same ones being covered on webistes, zines, mags, forums etc... the scene would be opened up and things would begin to blossom again. noobs may suck at trading as well but it does take effort. and most people hate me because it takes me so long to send packs because i am a jobless poor broke college student . I participate in sports. i help out at the local skateshop etc etc.. and i know everyone goes through times where they are so pressed with shit that its hard to sit down. print stickers. draw stickers. get money to package them up and take the time to send them all out. a break is sometimes necessary. but you will be seeing alot more of me soon :] and im glad to see some old buds still active. message me on flickr and lets chat people!

im a noob...i know. I made stencils and stuff for like a year then found flickr. HAHA it got me into drawing stickers and yes trading. I used to trade with everyone, noww not so much. It got real old taking time to draw mine out and getting a pack of shit back. If your not constanly trying new things, and trying to get better then whats the point. And as far as putting stickers up, im a big beliver in that. I hate when i send 15 to 20 stickers and i never see any of them up..i hate seeing my stuff in kids blackbooks. I got asked on flickr why i was wasting rwk and uwps sticker by putting them up...hahah AND to any of yall that traded with me, let me know and i will send you some of my newer stuff..i hate the old stuff i was drawing..lol
PS..( posted before looked at page 3 and 4)
vinyl is cool and i would one day like to get a small amount made, but i just loving drawing stickers. I really dont know why, its just chill. I used to be into alot of stupid shit, got clean and dont really hang out with my old friends. So i guess thats why i make so many..lol. And 14bolt i see where your coming from, but as far as saying it was to good to put up? I mean he/she made that on a sticker for a reason. If you like his/her stuff get a canvas. I dont know i love putting other peoples work up with mine, and i really dont do it to become ENS Status or anything i just like to do it. ALSO with trades..not all are bad. When i get a UWP collab " im like fuck" cause i know i gotta step my game..haha trading with good people is nothing but inspiration for me.

I was just wondering of those who went to PEEL HERE.... if it changed anyone's opinion of the sticker movement?

It opened up my eyes to alot of things. For one, it pretty much split my opinions
A) Alot kids are either not really serious about "stickers" per say, more just like tagging on them
B) Alot of people are either, amazing or shitty. I really didnt meat anyone new who blew me away, other than 3 people, the featured angel guy, the guy who did the RATM battle for LA cover, and this guy that does these buck tooth worm thingys. Everyone else who rocked I had known about previously.
C) It is soooo possible to crush in the scene if you know the right way to go about it.
It also inspired me alot, and it sorta revived and jumpstarted mine and chelts sticker life again. We're gonna actually start going on walks and getting up more.

Wiki: "The album cover art was an original artwork by the LA Street Phantom aka Joey Krebs aka Joel Jaramillo, a well-known Los Angeles artist who has exhibited at numerous galleries in Los Angeles, New York City and throughout the United States. Despite claims to the contrary, the image was not inspired by images from the 1992 street riots of LA or from images of Munich, but by the band's own music and words, and represents one in a series of images of the artist's work, which can also be seen on various street murals in Los Angeles."
Ill try to get the blackbook pics that he did.

I think way too many kids are doing this for the wrong reasons..not so much for the art or for themselves ...I don't know I've talked to some people before that their attitude towards stickers and the whole aspect of it..just kinda depressed me..idk..I'm kinda just random speaking idk what my point was..

I'm a noob, I've only been in this for a little less then a year.
But i think the problem with the whole sticker scene is that its getting flooded with shit. So much that theyre shadowing decent artists, who are trying to get up, not trying to find something to do on a friday night since they arent able to paint and dont have friends. You have kids who've been writing for what a couple of months? And they think theyre the new Werms or Mista Breakfast or 14 Bolt or Obey. They bite, they dont have no respect for whats been done before, and they think theyre big shit, and no ones harsh enough to tell them otherwise and to make them work harder, get better, or get out.
In the end those who want a place in this, even if satan himself dissed theyre stickers, theyre gonna make one for themselves with determination, and dedication and skill.

stealing newspaper box inserts is not helping the adhesive movement. this is 4 out of like 60 newspaper box inserts this dude ( www.myspace.com/whatkh) posted on his page as part of his "collection". its cool if you want a box insert or two for the lolz but not a fucking mass operation of stealing them to be a greedy fuck. if you respect an artist, let their shit ride, NOT rip it down out of the streets. this was just extra gay seeing propertea and theory scavenged along with a bunch of other good folks..
