theres EZ Screen Printing ezscreenprint.com/index.aspxwhich Stickertraders swears by. dun know much about that but take a look if your interested in a cheaper way as far as drawing on Screens, thats a drawing fluid (really gummy stuff) Josh? uses that method. he had a wikked tutorial a while back on some dood's site. i know it doesn't help basically its drawing fluid. dry. apply light sensitive nonsense. dry. washout, image revealed. screen print! ---- as long as your screen is coated with emulsion, you can't put whatever the hell u want on it. whatever is blocking the light on your screen is where the ink will flood thru.

Using the emulsion and light method gives you much smoother lines than with painting.

Yeah emulsion is a lot easier and better.
With painting with the drawing fluid, if a bit splatters youre fucked cause thats gonna show up on the screen filler and make your slap look shitty.
I would consider myself a good printer so if anyone needs help just ask.
With that EZPrint shit the "Squeege" is fucking dope for vinyl stickers, that shits actually meant for applying vinyl.... so if anyone wasted their money and still has the squeege use it to apply stickers...

I just started using emulsion and I can't say I'm very happy with it. If your lines are very thin it doesn't pick it up at all. I was disappointed.

^ thin lines or very high detail, require a certain screen mesh. also i don't think you'd be able to get a decent result with a flood-light setup. you'll need a exposure unit. ----------- just heard about this last week. www.whatdoyudu.com/anyone get one, let me know if its any good.

It makes sense. Its because the line isn't thick enough to block the light, it just bleeds around it. Perhaps you could draw those lines by hand with the screen filler after you've burned the screen with the emulsion method.
Does anyone know where I can get a roll of screen from? Window screen is waaayyy too big. I need a finer screen.

Usually thats either because your line was grey or your mesh is too thin. Most silkscreen kits come with T62 mesh, for vinyl or paper prints the best is either T90+ i prefer T120... makes cleaner prints and picks up more detail It makes sense. There are no stores around me that sell pre-built screens. I can make my own frames. I'm a big boy.
