Do you slice up stickers, so they can't be ripped of easily?
Do you rub the surface that your going to put the slap up, so that it's clean?
Or do you rub the sticker on using the waxpaper so you don't get your hands too dirty?

thats exactly right. if youre going to lug around some paste and a brush you might as well be pasting up some nice posters and not stickers. not to mention the paste gunks and dirties up boxes anddd the sticker is already self adhesive so whats the point. stickers are never going to be completely permanent so just slap a new one.
and to answer one question, yes if you are going to slap a sticker on a sign that has a layer of dirt, the best thing to do is wipe it off....otherwise its gonna fall off as soon as you walk away.

Round the edges of your slap so they can't curl off and if you use alcohol markers clearcoat them with clear spray.

doves right - no sticker is forever. remove backing to expose adhesive, place adhesive side to surface, smoth once or twice with hand, walk away, repeat.

Yeah cleaning is sometimes essential.
I meant if you happen to be pasting, go ahead and put some over your stickers. There have been times when I was in between paste spots and put up so stickers in primo spots.
But for pure stickers, yeah....

slicing up stickers takes a long time and just sorta draws attention to yourself. it definitely works i've done it a couple times and the stickers are still up but i don't think its worth it.

I used to clear coat all my stickers so they'd be more resistant to the elements,
But with stickers I go for Quantity rather then longevity

some tips: Almost all of the vinyls I print are on pressure sensitive adhesive vinyl, so make sure use pressure when apllying them. The magic happens when little capsules are popped and create a vacuum to hold stronger to the surface. If you jusy 'slap' them up there, you're not using the techmology I think it goes without saying you gotta clean that spot too!!! also, for all you heads up north, I used this trick last year. When the snow comes and the snowbanks are like six feet high all round the city, use that elevation to get in some unique spots, put 'em up right, and when the spring thaw comes, you'll have some stickers up in a juicy spot, people will scratch theie heads

DUDE SNOW BANKS RULE! got some stuff up crazy high from last year.
when its mad crazy cold outside and stickers wont stick, put em in between your hands before ya peel it and rub your hands together - like you were warming them up. the heat from the friction sometimes warms up the adhesive and gives you a second to peel and stick.
dont kill yourself trying to cut to the black. just cut really close, then when your done, take the black marker again and touch up the tiny white border ya left. OR double outline yous stickers in black, and cut right bown the middle of the black outline, if you double it up nice it almost gives you a line to cut on.
use scissors to cut stickers out to, cause the downward motion of the top scissor blade (the blade controlled by your thumb) rounds off the edges of the sticker as you cut. an exacto just goes right threw the paper and actually leaves a higher edge, which makes it easier for a buffers scraper to hit and remove ya.

for combos i take a dhl roll, and peel off a bunch of the blank labels, so there is just a long strip of the backing left, then i peel a bunch of stickers and put em on the long strip. then i just roll that jam up and put a paper clip on there to hold it shut. then when ya go to do a combo ya have this long strip ready to go. ya dont waste time peeling every sticker cause they are already ready to go, and cause you set it up before you go out, you wont put the same person on twice be accident. Another thing i do is while walking i put my bag up on the top of the news bin and dig threw it like im looking for my phone or something, but im peeling stuff in my bag and reaching down to put it on the news bin. i usually do this with an unlite cig hanging out of my mouth, once a cop stopped and asked what i was doing, i said looking for my lighter, he reached in his pocket and gave me some matches and walked off.

good tips, that bag on top of the bim trick is smooth, I do some similar shit too
I do think it is SUPER fucked that a cop could even ask what you are up to. I mean, if you look suspect, with tools out and all fidgety... but just to come up and ask what you're doing?!?! fuck you pig, what's the difference!!!!
that kind of action really gets me heated, and is one of the reasons I do this in the forst place
on another note, they are getting to my combos rather quickly latley, can't be 100% sure, but I think thay scraped all but one now...
